I hope everyone had a good holiday. How were the fireworks? Bill came in on Saturday to Newcastle. While I was waiting for him to arrive we had three lightening strikes to the airport and the lights went out. We had a brief interlude of calm to get into the car, before the real showstopper started. We had hail and a downpour of rain that you had to pull over to the side of the road. The hail kept getting bigger and bigger. Pea size. Finally the weather let up enough for us to work our way home. It is July mind you… We have had a wet summer so far. On the other hand today was great. The weather was nice and we had a good day. Kara started work today. So I had Bill walk her through the little specimens and crystals. They had been backing up for a while. They managed to get through quite a few of the tubs done. Sarah and I sawed and watergunned. We also got a bit done. Some very nice pieces.
Byron is busily working on a variety of fronts in the mine. The West Cross Cut is still putting out very nice pieces. So is the Dipper. They are cleaning and getting ready for the next round of shots. Byron is scurrying around to various holes. As he finishes with one hole and moves on to the next, David is right behind him. They made a well coordinated team.
Hope everyone is well.
Cheers, Jonina and Byron
