Our friends Karin and Siggi Zecha spent last night here and tonight. Sunday dawned very windy and quite cool and we began piling up dark clouds in the west by 8:00 a.m. and we had some heavy rain interspersed with light rain and the odd bit of sunshine over the course of the day.
Karin and Kerith spent the day shopping for food and doing some touristing. Byron and I and Siggi (pictured in the classic Rogerley orange with matching yellow hat) spend much of the day trimming up a bogey full of specimens and a bit of time at the face breaking out loose dead rock in anticipation of actually getting some good pieces next week. The day was also spent repairing some equipment and doing a bit of cleaning up about.
We broke early and cleaned up and left for the Blue Bell pub and joined Barry and Helen and their friend Ben who had spent the day underground in the Greenlaws mine, swapped mining stories and ideas.
Would really love a warm sunny day but it does not look likely just yet -- soon I hope.
Regards, Cal, Kerith & Byron
